Arpenik Gukasyan Obituary (1924

Arpenik Gukasyan was born in 1924 in Yerevan, Armenia to Margret and Grigor Mehrabian. Growing up in Armenia as one of 11 children she worked very hard at farming and also teaching and cooking for a kindergarten school. Arpenik came to the US in 1979 where she worked at a sewing company and then through the years babysitting and care giving. In 1986 Arpenik was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and continued to serve Jehovah faithfully throughout her life. She died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on January 26, 2013. Survivors include her only daughter Zvart Aslanyan and her husband Vartan; three grandchildren: Eddy, Mike, and Arpy Aslanyan and five great grandchildren. Although life at times was difficult and despite losing her husband at an early age, Arpenik found joy and happiness in her relationship with her Creator Jehovah, as will as her relationships with her spiritual brothers and sisters.
