In Loving Memory of
Benjamin Francis Skipworth

**August 18, 1985 – September 25, 2026**

Benjamin Francis Skipworth, 41, was born on August 18, 1985, in Enumclaw, Washington, and passed away on September 25, 2026. Throughout his life, Ben was known for his unwavering determination, incredible work ethic, and the lasting impact he made on his family, friends, athletes, and community.

Above all else, Ben was a devoted husband to his wife, Michelle, and a loving father to their three children, Peyton, Audrey, and Levi. His family was the heart of everything he did. He worked tirelessly to provide for them, encouraged their dreams, and took pride in building a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.

From a young age, Ben discovered a passion for gymnastics that would become one of the defining parts of his life. He began coaching as a teenager and quickly earned a reputation as one of the area's most talented and respected coaches. For nearly 25 years, he dedicated countless hours to developing young athletes, sharing his knowledge, and helping gymnasts achieve things they once thought impossible.

In 2010, Ben founded the high school gymnastics program, coaching athletes from both Enumclaw and White River High Schools. Under his leadership, his teams earned multiple state championships, establishing a tradition of excellence. In 2023, his accomplishments were recognized with his induction into Enumclaw High School's Hall of Fame.

Yet Ben's influence extended far beyond medals, championships, and titles. Through his dedication to coaching, he helped shape generations of athletes, leaving behind lessons, memories, and relationships that would last long after their gymnastics careers ended.

Ben brought that same passion and determination to his work as the proud owner of Plateau Power Washing, a business he built and operated for 12 years. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dedication to doing things right earned him the trust and respect of customers throughout the community. Over the years, he also became an active member of the local contractor community, building friendships, sharing his knowledge, and supporting fellow business owners.

While Ben poured his heart into his family, coaching, and business, he also knew how to enjoy the things he loved. He had a passion for playing guitar and especially loved the Fourth of July. For Ben, fireworks were never just a holiday tradition. Each year, he eagerly planned and created incredible displays, filling the sky with color and excitement. Seeing the joy on everyone's faces made it all worthwhile. It was one of the many ways Ben brought happiness to those around him.

When Ben was faced with cancer, he approached his battle with the same determination and perseverance that had defined his life. One of his favorite sayings was, “Never give up. There’s always a solution.” It was more than just a phrase to Ben; it was the way he lived. Whether he was helping an athlete overcome a challenge, solving a problem at work, or facing his own unimaginable circumstances, Ben believed there was always a way forward. Even through his most difficult days, he continued fighting for more time with the people he loved.

Although Ben accomplished so much in his 41 years, his life was about far more than the championships he won, the athletes he coached, or the business he built. His true legacy is found in the countless lives he touched, the relationships he formed, the memories he created, and the love he gave so freely to those closest to him.

Ben is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Skipworth; their three children, Peyton, Audrey, and Levi; his mother, Kacey Imboden; his 12 siblings; and many extended family members and friends. He also leaves behind a community of former athletes, fellow coaches, colleagues, and countless others whose lives were forever changed by knowing him.

Though his time here was far too short, the impact of his life will continue to be felt for generations. His love will live on in his children, his legacy will continue through the athletes he inspired, and his memory will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

“Never give up. There’s always a solution.”
