Charlotte Jacqueline (Bilodeau) Jacobs Obituary (1935 - 2023)

Charlotte Jacqueline (Bilodeau) Jacobs passed away peacefully on August 17th, 2023 in Enumclaw, Washington. She was born in Oysterville, Washington on November 22nd, 1935 as the oldest daughter to Roy and Pearl (Andrews) Bilodeau, and granddaughter to Burt and Minnie Andrews. After living on the Long Beach Peninsula, the family moved to West Seattle in 1940. Charlotte attended West Seattle High School where she excelled in sports and sang in choir, graduating in 1954. She married her childhood sweetheart Robert "Jake" Jacobs a year later. After graduating, Charlotte worked for various departments within King County, serving as executive assistant to King County Councilwoman Bernice Stern. Over three decades, Charlotte expertly balanced a career in civil service while raising three children. In 1992, Charlotte and Jake retired, eagerly returning to the quiet frontier of Oysterville and spending winters golfing under the warm Arizona sun. Charlotte always enjoyed the company of her friends and family in their Oysterville home. She will be remembered for her kindness, wit, and compassion. She is survived by her two daughters, Denise Nelson and Debbie Haltom; son, Robert Jacobs; as well as two grandsons, Kameron Jacobs and Brandon Nelson. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Jake; her sister Cathy Sigurdson; and two brothers Ray and Gordon Bilodeau. Jake and Char together again, may you leisurely walk through the gentle surf of the ocean you loved so well, for all eternity.
