Colleen Raye "Connie" (Brewer) Frick Obituary (1948 - 2022)

Colleen Raye "Connie" (Brewer) Frick, age 74, of Buckley, Washington passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 16, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She was born January 23, 1948 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Donald and Barbara (Swain) Brewer. Growing up in many places, after Connie married Walter R. "Sonny" Frick SR she remained a Buckley resident for nearly 50 years. Connie placed her forever roots there, having her children and grandchildren form strong lifelong friendships was one of the most important things to her. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome, and no one was left out at the dinner table. A master seamstress, Connie devoted many years to Quilts of Valor, sewing and donating quilts to wounded soldiers past and present. There was no one who knew her that went without a friend and a helping hand if needed. Selfless and full of love, Connie gave as much as she could to those around her. Quilting and family were her main passions, but she also loved crafting, crochet, numerology and reading. Connie was preceded in death by her husband Walter R. Frick SR; son Walter R. Frick JR; brother Thomas O. Brewer; and great grandson Willie Durnford. She is survived by many family members, sister Sharen Brewer of Grass Valley, Oregon; children Stefani Frick, Matthew Frick (Jennifer), and Sami Martin (Steve); grandchildren Scott Frick (Beverly), Jake Frick, Jesica Durnford (DJ), Emilie Wagner (Jacob), Michael Frick, Mollie Frick, Maddison Frick, Lilly Frick, and Dalia Martin; and great grandchildren Walter Durnford, Waylon Durnford and Stevie Frick.
