" E Muamua le Atua" David Atoe died on September 30, 2016. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that David had touched in some small way throughout his long and memorable life. " E Muamua le Atua." David was a God fearing man who was thankful for the many blessings in his life. A man who puts the needs of others before himself, provides for his family, and enjoyed every moment of his life. His humor and personality was infectious, his smile brought happiness to those around him. He was satisfied with the simple things in life and enjoyed watching his children/grandchildren's sporting events followed by a night out at the casino with his wife. We will miss his laugh, his stories, and most of all his heart. As we continue to live each day his memories and smile will be forever in our hearts. David Atoe, age 72 passed away in The Dalles, Oregon on September 30, 2016. He was born on August 16, 1944 in Fitiuta Manu'a, American Samoa. His father is the late Apisai Sr. Atoe & mother Faifa'alilo Mauga. At the age of 18, he enlisted into the United States Navy and served for 22+ years. He is survived by his loving wife, Siuga Atoe and children David Jr Atoe, Mary Savaiinaea, Talifaia Atoe, Glenn Atoe, Kimberly Muai, Mark Atoe, Matthew Atoe, Robert Atoe, James Atoe and grandchildren.
