Dorothy Mae (Anderson) Hoskinson Obituary (1923

Dorothy (Dot) M. Hoskinson of Winlock, Washington died peacefully in her sleep on September 13, 2015 at Chehalis West Assisted Living in Chehalis, Washington. She is predeceased by her parents Albert and Nellie Anderson of Gig Harbor, Washington; her late husband of 68 years, Eugene Hoskinson of Winlock, Washington; three brothers Wes Anderson of Winlock, Washington; Roy Anderson of Morton, Washington; and Ike Anderson of Tacoma, Washington; two sons Michael Quist of Yakima, Washington; Jimmy Phetteplace of Salina, Kansas; one son-in-law Loren (Mary) Baker of Renton, Washington; and one grandson Colby (Susan) Mabe of Renton, Washington. Dorothy was born in Seattle, Washington on December 27, 1923. She was a homemaker and spent the good portion of her life taking care of her family. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. She loved to read and spent a lot time sewing things for other people. She loved to spend time with her family and was loved by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her four daughters Jane Mascarello of Auburn, Washington; Mary (Denny) Treat of Yakima, Washington; Susan (Michael) Remington of Renton/Selah, Washington; Virginia Hoskinson of Winlock, Washington; and two sons John (Kathy) Hoskinson of Graham, Washington; and Art (Alice) Phetteplace, Prescott Valley, Arizona; 16 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren; and loving nieces and nephews and other living relatives. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25th at Haven of Rest Funeral Home in Gig Harbor, Washington.
