Jessie Lucille (Mcdowell) Brooks Obituary (1927 - 2020)

Jessie Lucille McDowell Brooks (92) passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at 10:05 AM in Enumclaw, WA. A victim of the Coronavirus. A celebration of life service will be held after quarantine restrictions are lifted. At that time Jessie will return home to rest beside her husband in the Inglenook Cemetery. Jessie is survived by her sister Velma Sutliff Bronson; daughter Barbara Brooks Clarke; son Raymond George Brooks; daughter-in-law Rozlinda Brooks; grandchildren Heather and Nathan; great grandchildren Evan, Alex, Aidan, and Alyssa; and many nieces and nephews. Jessie was born to Velma and Arthur McDowell on November 29, 1927. She attended Inglenook School (now the Grange Hall) and Fort Bragg High School. She lived most of her life in the Fort Bragg area. She enjoyed reading, cooking, dogs, cats and always family. She is proceeded in death by her parents; husband Raymond; brothers Ben and Arthur; sisters Betty, Barbara and Myrtle; and several nieces and nephews. The name Jessie means gift or in Scottish gracious. A fitting name for a great woman. The family requests that in lieu of flowers funds be sent in Jessie's name to the Enumclaw Health and Rehabilitation Center, 2323 Jensen St. Enumclaw, WA. 98022. or to a charity of your choice.
