Our best father, Our best grandpa Memoir of Mr. Jong Il Lee The deceased was born on June 10, 1941, as the youngest son of Mr. Hoo Ki Lee and Mrs. Cha Soon Kim among 3 sons and 3 daughters at Ombemi in Kimcheon City, Kyungsangbukdo, Korea. After he completed primary education, he began to acquire tailoring skills at a young age. At the age of 16, he moved up to Seoul, the capital of Korea. In 1963, he met his soul mate and began his happy marriage with Moon Ja Lee. After that, in 1965, he opened his very first own tailoring shop, Kwang Myung Ra Sa, Bright Future Tailoring Shop, on Wonhyo Street. In the winter of 1966, he moved to Pusan with his family, and in the spring of 1968, he opened a new Kwang Myung Ra Sa. He successfully operated it until he and his family moved to the states in 1986. In 1988, he opened Lees Custom Tailoring at Westwood Village Mall. For 10 years, he impressed and made many customers happy with his very detailed, professional, and artisanal tailoring. From 1998 till the day he passed away, he raised grandchildren with unconditional love and devoted care while he continued working out of home. His nature has been considerate, mild and kind; he has lived a well-rounded life and kept warm relationships with people. Most of all, he has believed the importance of family love that hes embraced, good days and bad days always need love, especially, his love toward his grandchildren has been beyond measure of words. Hes always enjoyed the old Korean songs, wild flowers, fishing, and watching his grandchildrens soccer, basketball, and Taekwondo performances. Hes always enjoyed taking care of his small vegie garden, and taught his grandchildren the mystics and appreciation of our natures. Although it was inconvenient and a disadvantage to him, hes always preferred the standard principle rather than expedient. Hes led by example, he wanted his descendants to live well rounded lives rather than edged. He liked to sing, so he sang while he played a guitar. He sang his old favorite songs quite attractively well. He liked to play with his grandchildren so much that he built countless memories with them. Past November 11, he was diagnosed with acute pneumonia and he had been hospitalized for a week, and his vigor got weaker. In the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day, he had difficulty breathing and was transferred to the nearest hospital, but he could not make it. He fell into a deep sleep while his beloved family and relatives were there. His modest and genuinely smiling face will be remembered in everyones hearts for a long time. The surviving family members are Mrs. Moon Ja Lee, a son, two daughters, and six grandchildren.
