Jovita Moore Obituary (1939

Jovita Moore, 71 years old, joined the love of her life on March 31, 2010, dying at home of natural causes. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH until she married Lucian Moore in May 1957. They eventually relocated to Pierce County, Washington in 1965 where they raised their children Lucian Jr., Felecia, and Michael. Jovita loved and supported her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and was an active member of Discovery Baptist Church in Gig Harbor, Washington. She was an accomplished artist whose paintings were enjoyed by many. Survivors include: children Lucian Moore Jr. (Paula), Felecia Rachner (Stephen), grandchildren Rachel Davis (James), Kathrine Peugh, Benjamin Nelson, Melissa and Hannah Moore, and great grandchildren Makayla Moore and Katelyn Peugh. Our "Mother" will be missed greatly by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Discovery Baptist Church in Gig Harbor at 11:00 am Friday April 9th. Graveside service will follow at Tahoma National Cemetery at 2:15 pm as she is laid to rest with her husband of 51 plus years.
