Julie Ann Boesiger

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julie (Broadfoot) Boesiger, age 74 on February 6, 2023, at her home in Orting, WA surrounded by her family. Julie was born on leap year day, February 29, 1948, at Los Angeles Memorial Hospital. She grew up in Manhattan Beach, CA and graduated from Aviation High in 1966 where she was a member of the Girls Athletic Association. Throughout her life she enjoyed beach volleyball, skiing, and horseback riding.
Julie spent 19 years as a substitute teacher and 10 years as a full time PE/Health teacher at Mattson Junior High School in Covington, WA. She was a devout Christian and lived her life with grace and love. Julie was a member for many years at Mountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship and later at Mount Rainier Christian Center. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, animal lover and friend who touched the lives of many throughout her life. In her golden years she loved to shop, decorate, spend time at the pool, beach, and most importantly with her family.
Julie was the beloved wife of Russell Boesiger for 53 years and a loving mother to daughters, Jennifer West and Jessica Howisey and son-in-laws, Jason West and Bryan Howisey. She was the proud grandmother of four grandchildren, Riley and Ava West, Aislinn and Sabra Howisey.
A celebration of Julie's life will be held at Mount Rainier Christian Center, 1878 Osceola St N, Enumclaw, WA 98022 on February 25, 2023, at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Julie's favorite charity, the Wounded Warrior Project.
