JUSTIN DAVID WALTHER "CELEBRATION OF LIFE" We are here today to celebrate the life of Justin David Walther born on July 3rd 1989. Justin is survived by his Mother Jeanie Williams, Stepfather George, Brothers Rick, and Tim, Sisters Amanda, Ashley, Becca, Melissa, and Janelle Kirk, Grandfather Milton Till, Grandmother Ruthie Williams, Nephew Cyrus, Nieces Destiny, Stacy, Rhylie, Madisyn, Victoria, and Evie, and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Justin who usually went by his nickname "Jay", was a wonderful, kind, and caring person. He was a light in every room, and with his joyful spirit he strived to make everyone happy. He was the type of person who would bring your garbage cans up for you without even asking him to, or step into the middle of an argument between two people, to try and cool down the situation. Jay loved to have fun, which included playing cards, listening to loud music, singing, playing with his younger nieces, playing video games with his brothers and nephew Cyrus, going to concerts and taking road trips. Grandma and Grandpa took him with them across the country to visit family and friends, and I know until his last day here, that was one of his most cherished memories. He also really enjoyed watching the Seahawks games and few other show at Mom's house. Jay spent a lot of time with Mom, and would do anything that she asked him to do. He would offer to work on her cars, mown the lawn, help her with the groceries, and sometimes watch the grandkids while she was at work. Mom and George were dedicated to helping Jay during some struggles in his life, and they always wanted what was best for him, and did all they could to try and keep him on a good path in life. Less than a month ago, Jay graduated from drug court. We were all so proud of him for making it through that. Mom played a huge roll in that success, buy keeping Jay close to her at all times, and making sure he didn't miss any of his required appointments. Jay was so proud of his accomplishments, including phasing up, from step 1 to 4 and then graduation, passing all his random UAs, and beating his addiction. Jay had many bracelets that he received in the program and his favor slogan was "One Day At A Time". He was even going to become a mentor for the people that were in the program. Jay worked with me many different times in life, and in the end he was able to get himself a full time job working at Aerotek in Sumner, which is another thing that he was proud of. My wife Janelle had been spending a lot of time working with Jay on his spirituality and had countless talks with him about the Lord, and how he was going to beat his addiction, and she was going to beat cancer, and the two them together would have a powerful testimony of victory. We asked Jay several times to come to church with us, but he just wasn't ready at the time, however we did get him to go to a couple of Christian concerts with us, and he found that he actually liked some of the music. It was Grandpa Till who was ultimately successful in getting Jay to go to church!! We were so proud of Jay for going, and Grandpa looked forward to seeing him every Sunday. Jay was looking forward to spending more time with Grandpa, and getting to know Betty as well. Memories from Jay's sister Melissa: I will always cherish the memories of Jay being there for me, and my children, they loved their uncle Jay very much, and he was always available when anyone needed him. I will share that Jay was always the life of the party, and the cause of many sleepless nights due to his snoring!! Anyone who has been around Jay knows what I'm talking about. I remember one summer after 4 or 5 days, telling him "Jay you need to either go home, or pitch a tent in the yard so I can finally get some sleep. Memories from Jay's Brother Rick: I remember one time when Jay was around 7 years old, I decided I was gonna pull a prank on him, so I soaked some toothpicks in hot cinnamon oil, and said "Jay, come try these really good toothpicks, they taste like candy" Well he fell for the trick, and started chewing on 3 or 4 of those toothpicks, and all the sudden his throat turned red, and he ran crying to Mom, as you can probably guess, I got in a lot of trouble for that, but from that day on, all the way into adulthood, Jay never ate spicy foods again (Sorry Jay). My days with Jay weren't always about pranks, and I sure do miss all the good times that we shared, he was definitely the kind of person you looked forward to being around. I am very thankful, that he knew my wife and kids, and they all loved him so much, and he loved them even more. I miss you Jay more than words can say. In closing, let today be a day of remembrance of Jay, and all the good times that we've had with him over the years. Let us hear his laughter in our minds, and fill our hearts with the love that Jay had for all of us. Today is about you Jay, and we shall celebrate in your honor. We will share our memories of you. We love you and miss you Jay, and while our hearts are broken, we will hold on the hope that we will see you in Heaven, with Grandma, Cathy, Mike, and all our other family and friends that we've lost along the way.
