Larry Frei

–

Auburn, Washington

Larry Frei, a devoted husband, loving father, proud U.S. Army veteran, lover of music and a man of many talents, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025 at the age of 85.

Born in Halliday, North Dakota, Larry served his country honorably in the United States Army. He built a life rooted in integrity, hard work, and unconditional love. For 59 years, he was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Judy, and together they created a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.

Larry had a deep appreciation for nature and he found peace in the outdoors. He was a true handyman who could fix or build just about anything.

A passionate lover of music, Larry found joy playing both piano and guitar. Music was a constant presence in his life and he was always whistling a tune or singing.

But above all, Larry will be remembered for how he loved his family—with strength, kindness, and unwavering presence. He showed up every day with love, humility, and the quiet strength that defined his character. To his children, he was a guiding light—steadfast, supportive, and always there.

He is survived by his wife Judy, his children Loren (wife Melissa), Julie (husband Ryan) and Kristine (husband Jonathan), grandchildren Tommy, Kalissa, William, James, Greg, Nolan and Curran. Larry’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he passed down, and the love he gave so freely. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the music and beauty he so deeply cherished.
