Linda Nicholson

Linda (West) Nicholson, 81, longtime resident of Enumclaw, WA peacefully passed away August 31, 2026, at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place. She was born in Auburn, WA to Floyd and Evelyn West of Enumclaw in December of 1944 and graduated from Enumclaw High School in 1963. Linda married Randal Nicholson in 1966, and they moved to North Carolina for four years before returning to Enumclaw in 1970.
In her early years, Linda participated in Glacier Gliders, Girl Scouts, and played the accordion through The Stan Boreson Show. Linda loved tending to her flowers and yard filled with azaleas. She also loved to bake and discover the next great recipe in her many cookbooks. Linda enjoyed watching her granddaughter, and visiting with family and friends near and far.
Linda is survived by her daughters Michele Patterson (David) of Bonney Lake and Susan Nicholson of Enumclaw; siblings Donna Paulson (Glenn) of Grants Pass, OR and Tom West (Brenda) of Belle Mead, NJ; 2 granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Randal; her parents; and sister Barbara.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Enumclaw Danish Hall, 1708 Porter Street on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Plateau Outreach Ministries or Dementia Society of America.
