Loyis "Sonny" Ehlke Obituary (1929 - 2020)

Loyis Norman (Sonny) Ehlke passed away August 7, 2020 in Bonney Lake, WA. He was born July 7, 1929 in Bottineau, North Dakota to Henry and Francis (Fenner) Ehlke. Sonny attended school in Deep and Russell, North Dakota. He served in the army during the Korean War and moved to Seattle after being discharged. Sonny was employed by the Boeing company for 35 years as a tool maker. He retired in 1987 and enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, golf, and all outside activities. Sonny was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Margaret on April 28, 2017; his parents; brothers, Arlan and Melvin; and sister Elmira. He is survived by his stepson John Booth; step grandson Shad Booth; three brothers Adrian, Curtis, and Michael; and three sisters, Delois, Ilene and Geraldine. Services will be held at Weeks' Funeral Home in Buckley. The visitation is Wednesday, August 26, 2020 from 4-8 pm, funeral service is Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 1 pm, and burial will follow at Enumclaw Evergreen Memorial Park.
