Margo Weeks Obituary (1923

Margo (Oma) Weeks, 91, of Port. Orchard lost her battle with leukemia on April 25, 2014. Margo was born in Bayreuth, Germany in 1923. She was a kindergarten teacher. She met her husband, Henry Weeks during WWII. They married in 1948 and lived in Minnesota and moved to Seattle in 1953. In 1965, they moved to her present home in Port Orchard. Margo loved to garden, visiting with family, knitting and crocheting. Everyone who met Oma, loved her instantly. She was so kind to everyone. She was a past member of St. Bede's Episcopal Church, VFW Aux. 2669, American Legion Post 30 of Port Orchard. Margo was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Weeks in 1987, her daughter, Diana Wood Savage and son Michael Weeks. She is survived by her daughters, Dolly Gelsleichter and Donna McCollum, both of Port Orchard, a son Henry George of Shelton. A celebration of life will be held May 3 at her home. Arrangements by Weeks Haven of Rest in Gig Harbor. Entombment at Haven of Rest Mausoleum.
