Marlene Young Obituary (1931 - 2025)

Marlene M. Young, a lifelong Seattle resident, passed away on March 20, 2025, surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Young, and her grandson, Christopher Young. She is survived by her eight children, 21 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her great joy. Marlene was a dedicated volunteer at Providence Hospital and a lifelong parishioner of St. Anne’s. She loved playing cards with close friends and was an avid Mariners fan. A woman of strong faith, Marlene took pride in her family and the life she built. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 1st, at 10 AM at St. Anne Parish on Queen Anne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Holy Names Academy or the National MS Society. Marlene’s kindness, dedication, and love for her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
