Born on April 14, 1936, in Britton, South Dakota, to Melvin Whitaker and Anna Laremore Whitaker, Marlys lived a life filled with kindness, strength, and unwavering faith.
After moving to Washington, Marlys graduated from Renton High School in 1954.
