Mimi Burwell Obituary (1934 - 2024)

Mimi (Mignon) Cecilia Burwell passed away peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Christmas Eve at the age of 90. Born on September 19, 1934, to Giuseppe and Frances Beltramo, she spent her life in Seattle where she graduated from Cleveland High School and Seattle University. Mimi worked as a medical technician until she met her husband, William Burwell, at a ballroom dance class where he was her instructor. Married August 9th, 1958, their shared passion for dance and life blossomed into a beautiful partnership that lasted for 55 years until William’s passing in 2013. Preceded in death by her parents and husband, Mimi is survived by her children: William, Victoria, and Joseph, and grandchildren: JJ, Mia, Vita, and Max. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
