Patria Pascua Obituary (1937 - 2024)

Patria Mallare Pascua died peacefully on December 3, 2024. She was born on June 9, 1937 in Bauang, La Union, Philippines. As a studious girl, Patria obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She was a natural teacher with her patience and care always willing to share her love of words and music. That love was a blessing that she carried with her throughout her life. Patria moved to Seattle, Washington in the 1970s where she married Paterno her husband of 50 years. During that time, they raised 2 daughters and witnessed many joyful family moments together. As a dedicated mail room coordinator at Group Health, she brought her unique blend of efficiency and empathy to the workplace. Yet, what mattered most to her was her family. Her love for her daughters, sons in law and grandchildren was a testament to her character, a compelling blend of compassion and thoughtfulness. She was our guide, the strong matriarch and the epitome of love, always putting others before herself. Patria was preceded in death by her parents, Faustino and Lourdes Mallare, her sisters Oliva Ilago and Aida Mallare and her husband Paterno who passed away last year. Despite the losses she faced, she remained steadfast and strong inspiring us with her courage and unwavering spirit. She is survived by her daughters Janice (Romir) Jimenez, Melissa (Brian) Dowd, her grandchildren Keira and Patrick Dowd and Dante Jimenez as well as extended family, cousins, nieces and nephews.
