Paul W. West, age 74, of Enumclaw, WA passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, after a brief illness following a stroke. Born on June 16, 1950, in Enumclaw, to Wesley E. “Snook” West and Pauline E West (Loss). Paul lived a life marked by dedication, service and love.

After graduating high school, Paul joined the Navy in 1968, serving in Vietnam aboard the USS Simon Lake. He specialized in welding on nuclear power plants for submarines. His commitment to his country continued through his civilian career, where he worked as a welder for Tacoma Shipyards, Weldco Beales and Farwest Fabrication.

In 1976, Paul married Bonna Berg, and together they had two children, Wesley (Billy) and Heather. in 1991, Paul was remarried to Susan Branum, with whom he shared many years until her passing in 2017.

Paul is preceded in death by his mother, Pauline, in 1979, his brother, Jack, in 1995, his father, Wesley, in 1999, his sister Carolee, in 2019, and his wife Susan, in 2017. Paul is survived by his children Wesley and Heather and his grandchildren Chase, Rylan, Derrick, Harley and Danica.

Paul’s legacy of kindness, dedication and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held in the Spring of 2025. Paul will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery.
