Retta Tart Obituary (1932

Retta Grace Tart, 82, a Gig Harbor resident since 1978, passed away November 24, 2014. Born October 18 1932 she was the 5th of seven children to George and Retta Crowther in Rigby ID. She wass a breast cancer survivor of 20 years. Grace loved her family and took great pleasure in finding hidden treasures and clothing for her grandchildren as a professional garage sale shopper. With her husband of 59 years, Preston Earl Tart, they traveled the world together, but being home with her family was her favorite place. A devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she epitomized love, charity and service to all she met. Preceding her in death was her son Martin Tart. Grace is survived by her loving spouse, Preston, children Sharon Jensen (Steve), Douglas Tart (Crystal), Patrick Tart and George Tart (Jessica). Her legacy also includes 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 11 am on Saturday November 29, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 12002 Peacock Hill Ave NW, Gig Harbor WA 98335.
