Sara "Sally" Geist The world lost a gracious and generous soul on Nov 7, 2015 Born June 13, 1936 in Albuquerque to Roscoe and Delores Robinson, Sally grew up in Denver with a love for horseback riding, skiing and fishing. She attended Mills College in Oakland, CA and later settled in Bellevue, WA where she built a successful recruiting business. In 1984 she married Carl Geist and moved to Gig Harbor, where she was an active and giving community member supporting history, the arts and children's causes. She enjoyed traveling the world and spending time in La Quinta, CA with family and friends. Sally was a consummate hostess and talented cook, an avid reader, history enthusiast, spirited conversationalist with many interests, skilled decorator, loyal and thoughtful friend, and most definitely a proud grandmother. She had an infectious smile that could light up a room. Sally was preceded in death by her daughter, Kyle Koksu. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 31 years, Carl, son Kent (Kathy) Olmstead, son Mark (Clare) Geist, and daughter Carolyn (Scot) Glass and grandchildren Kelsey and Katelan Olmstead, Emily Koksu and Clayton and Owen Glass. A Celebration of Sally's life will be held at 11 am on Dec 5 at Canterwood Golf & Country Club in Gig Harbor. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Boys & Girls Club of South Puget Sound, 8502 Skansie Ave, Gig Harbor, WA 98335.
