Sheri Zimny Obituary (1972

Sheri L. Zimny, 40, of Olympia, Washington, passed away Tuesday September 4, 2012 surrounded by her family and friends. She was a beloved Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend. Sheri was full of life and a ready smile for all who knew her. She was born January 17, 1972 in Norfolk, Virginia, moving west to Washington State at an early age. She attended the University of Washington and Norwich University studying Mathmatics and Civil Engineering. She worked many happy years at Entranco and was a Project Manager for the City of Olympia, where she met the love of her life, and husband of seven years, Todd Zimny. Sheri loved traveling around the world with Todd, playing poker, scrap booking and jewelry making. She was courageous and strong. She also provided love, support and encouragement to all her friends and family. She is survived by her husband Todd Zimny, mother Marylyn West, father Tom Smith, sister Susan Smith Anderson. Special thanks to Dr. Eileen Johnston at Edmonds Swedish Oncology. Dr. Johnston and her staff provided the best possible care and compassion for Sheri, her family and caregivers for almost ten years. An inurnment service will be held at 2pm, Saturday September 15, 2012 at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Gig Harbor. A celebration of Sheri's life will be held at Sheri and Todd's home in Olympia.
