Terry "David" Lee Batiste Obituary (1949 - 2024)

Terry Lee (aka David) Batiste passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on April 17, 2024, after a lengthy illness at the Soldiers Home in Orting, Washington. He was born on February 9, 1949, in Louisiana to August and Ethel Durousseau Batiste and grew up in Houston, Texas. David was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was drafted and served in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. David is survived by his son Chad August Batiste, siblings Earl Batiste, Michael Batiste, Gayle May, Tracy Phillips, Bertha Carter, godchild and niece Tiffany MciLveen and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial will be on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Houston National Cemetery, 10400 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
