Thomas Duane Brooks

Tom fought a long and hard battle with COPD for eight long years and although we will miss him so much, we are so relieved that he is free of this burden.

He was born in Puyallup to Clarence and Mary Brooks on November 19, 1946, and after high school he married Barbara Louise Davis and together they had three kids. His trade was carpet laying and he also installed counter tops back in the day, so he's been in many, many homes in and around Pierce County and loved to chat it up with anyone who was willing.

In 2009 he retired and moved to Buckley with his sister Mary Dale where they enjoyed gardening and canning together. Mary Dale and Tom spent nearly every weekend for many years shopping the stores for discounted food and clothing items to donate to the food bank and other local non-profit organizations all over the Buckley and Enumclaw area.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Mary Brooks and his sister Mary Dale Brooks.

He is survived by his children Rachel Lugo (Richard), Misha Randall (Mark) and Joseph Thomas Brooks. His grandchildren Mackenzie Brooks, Claire Erickson, Madeline Lugo, Teela Brooks and Magnolia Brooks.
