Yalyle Rodriguez Obituary (1930

Yalyle Temilda Rodriguez was 82 years old, and surrounded by her family when she passed away at The Caroline Kline Galland Home in Seattle on January 11, 2013. She was born Yalyle Temilda Cortes on May 16, 1930 in Berbeo, Colombia South America to her loving parents Campo Elias and Temilda Cortes. Being the seventh of eight children, life was always exciting and the closeness with her family helped establish her zest for life. Yalyle came to the United States in 1962 to spend time with her sisters who had moved to the US earlier. She married in 1965, and after living in New York for a short period of time, she returned to California where she lived for over 32 years. She lived in Huntington Park, Highland Park and later in Arcadia, California, before moving to Washington State 16 years ago. She loved to travel, and was able to visit Europe, Canada, Mexico and China. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, music, movies, camping, and pets, but most importantly the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Eduardo and Edgar, her grandchildren, Maya, Leela and Diego, her sisters, Lilia and Yadyra, her niece Karen, daughter-in-law Laura and extended family and friends in the United States, Canada and Colombia. She was a very caring person, with a great sense of humor who loved spending time with family, friends and her many pets throughout the years. She was an essential part of our family and will be deeply missed. Our loss is heaven's gain.
