Bri Carter

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Bri began her journey into death care in 2024 with the Weeks Funeral Home location in Buckley while working hard toward a degree in Mortuary Science at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology. Now as a recent graduate, she finds fulfillment in focusing her time on caring for and learning from the families she serves as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Growing up as the daughter of a single mother and nurse, she was raised on hard work, compassion, and care for others with dignity and respect above all else. Bri holds many fond memories of going to the nursing home her mother worked at and spending time with the residents while her mom was hard at work. She proudly carries her mother's motto, "If you like it, I love it", with her in everything she does. Making sure those she cares for feel heard and supported without judgement is a core priority that she strives for daily.

She grew up in Louisianna until a family move brought her to Washington. After high school, she was accepted into Portland University's Law Program. Though the pandemic halted her college plans, it gave her time to realize her dreams of becoming a funeral director and embalmer. She now resides in Kent, Washington. Outside of her career, Bri enjoys attending concerts, singing karaoke, and spending quality time at home with her dogs, Daisy (a jack russel/chihuahua mix) and Mowgli (a border collie/pomeranian mix)
